Oak and black G10 5160

Small 112 has sludge in the pivot area and was super stiff. Hoping with cold weather out it got that way in the mail. Run it under hot water and oil. Now to break them both in. Also the 112’had a blunt spot near the tip. Took 3 seconds to fix it. Took a Q-tip and wiped boiled linseed oil on the Oak

caine, was the 112 a drop point before the tip got broke?
You did a real nice job on both of them.

Part 2: I just figured out how to work your pictures dbl click and you get a larger photo. I see both are drop points and I have to say you did an excellent job on the 112.
Just love that Linseed oil don't you?

Yep the oil is great. Both are drop points I meant the edge was blunt

on that sludge, breakfree or some thing like it can get all the gunk out that sometimes gets missed at the factory use a good gun oil to lube it all smooth again
BUT
if you are going to use yor folder to process meat it is much better to use Mineral Oil !!! it has no taste and gun oil taste a tad like 3n1 oil both will put you on the white throne ...
btw on nickel silver it is more important to use a oil as the lack of some thing in the metal makes it easer to get galling that is why they stopped production of the liner lock 110

just before buck moved to I-d-ho almost all folders came with gunk and grit ect
as many of the workers found out they would not be going to the new plant they just did not care how they went out ... not many major issues but lots o buckites complained of gunk and grit
