My new orange dragonfly pivot question?

I just got the knife last night, noticed a slight grinding sound when openig and closing the blade. Tried to losing the pivot screw ..and noticed it wasn't really tight at all...then tried to tighten it a little to see and it was to tight...the screw has hardly any room to tighten without being to tight or to loose. No blade play either way. Are these the way they're supposed to be?

I did use some tuf glide on the area after. It made it some what quieter.

Perhaps the pivot was loose and some dirt got in between the blade and the handle? The blade can be taken off easily on the FRN dragonfly, since there are no washers. Take it out. Wipe the blade and the inside of the handle. Add some oil and put the blade back in.

The only thing you have to think about is that when the blade is no longer pressing against the back lock, the spring for the back lock can fall out if you tilt the handle with the front downwards. It's easy to put back in if it falls out. Just keep it in mind. And don't lose the plastic washer things that go between the screw and the handle.

Thanks... but also wondering about the pivot screw, about it being loose and if I turn it a hair its so tight the blade wont drop freely.

Thanks again for helping me.
