I've searched long and hard for a folder with a full sized handle and a blade that is less than or equal to 3" in length. The only one I fould that came remotely close was an Emerson Snubby.

I really like a full handle so I can comfortably and securely control the knife with gloves on while out and about in the woods. I enjoy the Axis lock for the same reasons. I can open and close the knife without taking my gloves off. Oh and the orange handle makes this one really easy to see when I set it down.

I really love a sheepsfoot style blade as well. I sent this out to Tom Krein for him to work some magic on it. I sent him a drawing as well as a length requirement for me. A 3 inch blade serves two purposes for me 1) that is the legal limit for carrying a concealed knife in my state and 2) I've found that, for me, a 3 inch blade does everything I need it to do.

I really enjoy this knife as the blade is nice and wide.

Check out the swedge - it's sweet looking and had to be a PITA to grind. I opted to not do a regrind and only a sharpen. This is a really cool design, a slight curve up towards the tip and a VERY well defined and STRONG tip.

Really nice. I love the looks of it. One of those scale kits for the BM would be a sweet upgrade.

Outstanding.

That's a cool looking design myright, well done by Krein too, the whole package looks very practical.

Nice idea on the blade shape. One of my favorite shapes as well since it looks relativly harmless but can be used in a piinch for SD if needed , not to mention the versatility of what the shape can do chorewise.

Nice knife :)

He does amazing work! As professional as it gets. I'm looking for a sub-3" fixed blade with a full sized handle, so I know what you mean about blade vs. handle length.

Very nice! Those mods were both well thought out and well executed.

I found several of Bob Dozier's models met this requirement.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I think I'm going to do it with my other full size Grip as well. I've got to get the lock worked on first though.

This one is seeing A LOT of use!
