I have had this P2 for quite some time. Only just recently have I started to gear the knife and sheath up with some ideas that have been hanging in my head for quite a while.
1) I wanted to fit the butt cap with a mini compass to serve as a backup. I chose the 'Silva glo precision model', expensive but a perfect size. I only had to machine out a few thou to make it fit snuggly. A drop of clear marine silicon and presto.
2) I wanted to have a removable front pocket on the P2 sheath to house either a Sebbie or firesteel etc. Having a spare Reeve Sebenza sheath lying around made it easy. Now how to attach it. Once I source some black leather, I will make a tight 'band' that will retain the Sebbie sheath to the main sheath using 2 small press studs. There will be a hole in the band so it fits over the existing press stud on the back of the P2 sheath which in turn, will act as a locator so that the band can not slip off. Very similar to the old Gerber LMF sheath accessory band. It is simple and will be low profile.
3) Last but not least, I am starting to think of the 'must haves' for the knife handle.
Well, it should work well and all I need now ready for the next 3 day hike is some good weather. Bring it on. You just have to love these Reeve hollow handle knives.
Sorry for the crap photo. I will take a better one when it's done.
