My new Pal

I this case, a Pal brand knife! I haven't come across too many of these, and this one was in terrible shape when I rescued it from a garage sale. However, it cleaned up pretty well! I am almost certain the covers are Ivory, and the blade has great snap still with a nice half-stop.



Does anyone else have any Pals to share??

Very nice score.
I have a two blade pen knife with no tang stamps that has covers like that. I thought it was some sort of plastic.
Maybe it is my first (and likely last. Ivory is out of my price range) ivory handled knife.

Ernie, I think what you have is called French ivory, a synthetic material much like celluloid. It is beautiful, and a great rescue. I hope I'm wrong, and it is genuine ivory- not always easy to tell from photos. Lots of life left in that beautiful spear, as well. :thumbup:
