I just got a package today from Kevin Cashen. I'm really impressed. I've never handled anything quite like it. The balance and weight are perfect. Gorgeous random pattern damascus. High grade stag. It feels like it packs a punch yet it's fast as lightning. What a knife! Words and pics just don't do it justice but here are my feeble attempts at photography. I hope you like... Here's the description from Kevin's website.
Bowie Blade: 9 inches, 640 layer O1/L6
Overall length: 14 inches
Handle: Stag
Fittings: 160 layer O1/L6 twisted
Copper spacers
If you visit his site, take a look at the carving set - http://www.cashenblades.com/available.html

That's a great snag - love the blade shape and the sweet stag. The copper spacers are a nice touch. I've been longing for a big Cashen blade for some time and have one inbound at present. Enjoy!

I saw that knife at the Janesville show.It was quite a piece.I really wanted to snag it there, but I didn't have the cash on hand:( .Nice pickup that is really an outstanding knife!

Congrats Xuesheng!
Kevin Cashen does some phenomenal things with Stag and his blades are KILLER.

That copper will really look good in a few years. To me it will look better when it takes on a patina. The stag looks great, and the pattern welded steel has an excellent appearance.

Me too:thumbup:

Congrats, that is a beautiful piece.
I have a recurve Bowie on order for next year, similar to his cutting competition knife of a few years ago. I can't wait to get it.

What a terrific addition! That is what I call a collection foundation knife.
