Is it just me or do those scales have a purplish hue to them. Maybe it's the light or maybe just my eyes. In any case, they really make the knife "pop". Very nice indeed.

The scales are deep gray, but do in fact have a slight blue hue. This knife feels great in the hand. The fit and finish on this one is really good. The bevel and edge are typical queen however and I will have to reprofile it.

Great looking knife!

I have the same one except with the spatula. It's one of my most-often used slippies.
(Also have the cocobolo version from a few years ago, but that's a safe queen...)

DMT to the rescue!

Good looking knife.
Congrats!

The birdseye maple handles can be grey....pinkish or even tinted purple. Not being a fan of pink so much, I'm careful when buying the knives in Queen's birdseye maple line. :)

Nice looking Dr's knife, I have a couple and they are actually pretty nice for EDC. Nice size with alot of blade packed into them. Good score.

This one is going to be a daily carry. I reprofiled it today. It's exactly what I have been looking for and it cost me less than the case med stockman in cv that I recently purchased.

+1 on that.

The early ones that I got were a light brown with very little grain showing.
In my view, the color was not that great.

The recent ones, though, are a really nice rich brown with almost a green/gray tint in them. Lots of grain and IMO very attractive indeed.
