I just got these pics from Mr. Carter- My new knife is finished!!! Isn't it a beauty!!!!! My first custom knife purchase. I wanted a field dressing/skinning knife that would also be a good "all around" type knife.

I'm not a huge fan of brick shaped handles either, but the texturing is really cool. I'd love to figure out how that's done. And you know, lots of people like handles that are more square as well. Looks like a cool blade, congrats!
 
I have large hands and I prefer the squared off grip. I'm sure you could get any type grip you want.
I do love the cobblestone scales. (that's what he called them) He also had blue.

Aha, I see why he's not rounding them more. I thought that was something he'd filed in somehow or something, but if they're premade like that, yeah, those would be hard to shape and still keep the texturing.
 
The pattern in the g10 is milled into it. You can get this along with many other textures and colors from Sheffield supply. I usually use 1/8 g10 and contour it down but this was a custom order and monofletch was very specific in what he was looking for. The handles look thick because they are but it fits nicely in the hand, doesn't heat up or feel bulky like you would think. I appreciate the business monofletch also appreciate helping with the design and other particulars. We all want to see pictures of your hunting adventures in the near future.

I recieved this knife today. It is amazing! The grip feels just right in the hand. The balance is great. My best knife purchase to date!! I am already working on my next knife with Robert. Kudos to you.
 
That is a fantastic looking knife. Nothing like nicely heat treated D2 in the field. You can field dress and skin all day long with that. What a nice design and craftsmanship, too.
 
Thanks. This is my 1st custom purchase and I could not have had a better experience than I did with RC. He is professional. The communication was outstanding and look at his work---WOW!
 
Some better pics...sorry it took so long!! You can see the texture of the coblestone grips in the pic. Probably my favorite feature. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!!
