Just got my Ronin and all I can say is WOW. Super sharp and great looking. I hear some complaints about the sheath but I like it. I was wondering if anybody has had any problems with the tip, thats about the only weakness I :D could think of. Great job Mr. Janich and Spyderco THANKS

I also have a Ronin that i carry on a daily base as my neck knife. It is indeed a beautifull knife, i have seen custom's that looked even better but for that kind of money it is as close as it can get to a custom. Point should be less fragile then it looks , i haven't damaged mine yet, it has enormous penetration capabilities in flesh. I have tested it on a big roast and it slid in like butter. I use this knife for SD. So i don't have any experience with the tip strenght. I am also not planning to test the tip strenght unless in a life/death situation. ;)

I picked up a Ronin recently too (before supplies run out since they are now discontinued.)

The sheath I have is "triangular" which I assume is the revised version over the large flat rectangle. The kydex work was below par tho - I needed to sand and trim the edges to get it smooth. The kydex I got with my recent Sypdie Moran Drop Point was way better by a long margin.

I ditched the mini Tek Lok clip and installed a IWB loop - much better.

There are a lot of edges (not on the blade) that needed to be radiused a little - the micarta was pretty sharp just in front of the index finger and was chewing up the kydex! The choil is very sharp as well and needs a bit of sanding.

Overall a very nice knife - very sharp and pointy! I gotta do some comparisons to the CRKT PLan B as they are fairly similar - not sure which I like better!
