I have been looking for the perfect EDC SAK forever now. I carry a Small Sebenza and a leatherman sideclip so I just needed scissors and some misc. tools. Boy did I ever find what I wanted. I present,,,,, THE GOLFER.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I just love the nail file tool! Oh the uses!

Take care of your SAK, the Golfer model is a bit hard to come by nowadays. Also, did you happen to find the name "Golfer" unusual for your SAK?;)

Nice Knife! I think you'll love it for an EDC. The only thing that I've been carrying for the past two months is a Victorinox Recruit. SAKs are great knives. BTW, the ToolMatch feature on swissarmy.com is a great way to find a SAK with specific tools.

Is that a 91mm/3.5 in knife? I carry the Compact which is similar to your knife except the Compact has a parcel hook (useless) instead of that long thin tool. What is that long thin tool?

I've found a use for that hook, men's room stall coat hook. When some clown has pulled off the real hook, it leaves a distorted hole into which the parcel hook just fits.

I've really come to love the 84mm models for pocket carry. My only frustration is that they no longer make any with scissors! I have an 84mm Golfer and an 84mm Tourist Alox that trade off as my pocket EDC.

That's a hard to come by model you've got there! It has the perfect tool selection for city EDC, I have a more common Vic Compact with the same tools (except for the long nailfile) that I find excellent for urban EDC.

Bob, stop showing off that Tourist!!! I'm so freaking jeallows of that 84mm alox beauty! I'd trade my Mauser and Scientist for one of those in a heartbeat!

It's for cleaning your balls.

Golf balls, that is. It's a "divot tool".

Thanks for all the replies guys. It is a 84 MM model. It definitely is a discontinued model. I did find it odd that they called it a Golfer. The long tool with the file on it was listed as a file and nail cleaner. Go figure. The parcel hook for a rest room coat hanger........ that is brilliant! Their is almost never a hook there!

Naw, I need the can opener, the saw and the light and I sure don't need a damned "ball cleaner."

I EDC the Huntsman with light (carried the regular huntsman until the one with a light came out).

Hm, now that I look at it, it's definitely a different tool than what's called a divot tool on the Golfers that I get with a google search, which is a forked thingy.

I have a Golfer also, and it is the only 84mm I know of with scissors. Congrats on the great find!

Where did you find the old golfer? I've been searching for one everywhere and to my sorrow, I've yet to find one. It seems like the perfect EDC to me.

houdini28, I just PM'ed you some info. I'll post it here for everyone else to see tomorrow, but I wanted you to get first dibs... :)

Thanks for the PM; however, I was unable to receive it. If you'd be willing to email it to me that'd be fantastic. If not, I can simply wait and compete with everyone tomorrow. After all, besides winning and getting out there and mixing it up with friends; the most thing is the competition.

I thought I had shown restraint by not posting the picture... ;)

Yup, got the bounce today. I guess it's a free-for all then, although since this seller seems to have a steady supply of them, maybe people will be nice and let you have first dibs. Here's the email I sent

There's one on ebay now. The seller timberman45 seems to have a huge
stash of these and he's selling them one at a time. I got mine from him a
several months ago.
