Made by Paul Long. I work in a suit and tie enviornment. Thus I dont want my Sebenza rattling around in my suit pants because it looks clunky and wierd. a pocket clip also is tough on the pants...so I wanted a type of sheath that I could either clip inside the pocket of my suit pants..( most suits have a small inside pocket in pocket for change etc. Or clip inside the inside breast pocket of my suit. Thus this design by Paul. Its made of Shark Skin and fits the Sebenza tightly but with a tug on the lanyard with my left hand and a hand on my breast with my right I removed the Sebenza clip and thanks to Moritom I have a insert neatly installed. I can easily remove the knife. I am very pleased with how this turned out. Shark Skin BTW is about bomb proof.

a perfect dress up companion for my knice Knife!!!

I like it. I have been looking for something like this for my Mnandi. Both with and without clip.
Thanks for sharing. i will be contacting him soon.

Great idea. I'm gonna have something like this made the next time my large gets back from the spa treatment.

Nice sheath Ren, hey are Sebenzas all they're cracked up to be, (just kiddin' ;))

How snug is the fit and how tight is the clip?

This thread prompted me to have a similar 'slip' made for my Mnandi. The sheath that came with my Mnandi was rather large, and I wanted something that was a little smaller, with a tighter fit. Once I saw this thread, I emailed Paul right away and described what I was looking for. He was a great guy to deal with and asked questions to make sure he was producing what I was wanting. I ended up with a sheath similar to the one shown for the Sebenza, only sized to fit my Mnandi, and with no clip - I just want to slip it in my pocket like the CRK sheath. The sharkskin really looks like it will take a beating. Fit and finish on the sheath appears to be top notch to say the least. I wish I could do a better job with the pics, but our camera has been MIA since Easter, so cell phone pics will have to suffice for now.

Ed, it's your knife and your sheath, but the sheath was designed to accept the knife in reverse to what you pictured, Skinny end up. Also it should insert deeply enough so that none of the knife extends above the back of the sheath.

Thanks Paul. I actually let it hang further out of the pouch just to show a bit of the knife itself in the pic. I had put it in that way initially because it was easier to extract until the pouch stretched a bit, I do plan on having the skinny end up. Thanks for the clarification.

i'd like to bump this to see if we can get answers for EEG and snowreaper1, since i'm curious to know as well. and i'm sure others who happen on by would like to see the answers.

Does anyone have a preference for the type of material their sheath is made from/and why so?

The top left two is ostrich. I have one of his in ostrich and love it. The bottom right is shark skin I believe. I also have one in that material and like it as well. I believe the sharkskin is more popular and cost effective.
I haven't had mine long enough but I honestly do not for see any longevity issues.

Answers to questions. Don't know about fitting the Umnumzaan mostly because I don't know the Umnumzaan. They do fit the knives they were intended for, or similar size and shape. I will not discuss pricing or other selling details on Chris' forum because I don't think that is right. I'm pretty easy to find off forum. Thanks

Paul
