This is the newest member of my knife family, made by a friend named Kyley from New Zealand ('knivesandstuff' on YouTube).
In short, he purchased a number of Svord Peasant folding knives that have an interesting, extended tang (looks like the tangs on folding shaving razors), and converted them to fixed blades. Below is my knife, one of the first four he made by customizing the L-6 steel blade of the Svord Peasant:

knife in handmade friction-retention sheath (black leather)

Kyley put an awesome convex edge on the blade.

He also made me some leather strops, which he graciously loaded with stropping compounds.
I love this knife! It's light (don't know the exact weight, sorry -- my digital scale needs batteries) and the wooden handle feels both warm & fantastically comfortable in the hand. This is my first experience with L-6 steel -- but -- after watching a few of Kyley's vids, I'm confident this knife will be strong and robust for EDC, tactical, and reasonable emergency roles.
Before he shipped me the knife, he told me it had a rustic look to it -- but functionality was what he was going for when he made it. He was absolutely right. I actually dig the simple look of the knife...but this knife was made to be used, and I intend to use it!
