A while back when they did the Extreme Knife Build here I was really impressed, the entries were all outstanding but Dave's Shark Machete definitely caught my eye and having an obsession with large choppers and 3V I had to drop Dave a pm. Well after a quick response and discussion about the specifics (handle color, finish and sheath) away we went. It was a fairly quick turn around for a custom blade and what can I say it was perfect. Fit/finish were outsanding, the edge was razor sharp and the sheath was perfect so me being me I had to order a second blade. For it I decided on a Camp Style blade, Dave and I exchanged a few sketches/ideas and the next thing I knew it arrived and it was perfect. I have had the opportunity to take both of those out and beat the crap out of them, both chopping and batonning and both functioned flawlessly. After excessive abuse neither one needed as much as a strop, both held their edges perfectly so I decided to finish the set and order a bushcrafter from him. Again exchanging a couple of sketches/ideas and off he went. This one just arrived and it is outstanding, I will be taking all three up in a couple weeks for a camping trip so I will get to try it out. I have not been on much here,nor have I spent a lot of time taking pics of my blades lately but felt these deserved their due, here are some glamor shots, hopefully on my next trip I will get some good action pics but in the meantime enjoy and for those of you who haven't worked with him, Dave is one of the good ones, really great to work with and the finished products are outstanding
