As of late, I am unable to stare through a loupe. I really like to use one with sharpening, as I'm sure many of you do as well. So I got to thinking (easier said then done for me), and here's what I came up with:
Used to use this when my niece and nephew would come visit when they were younger, we'd look at bugs, rocks, etc. So I booted her back up and tested it on my BK 2 edge, which I'll share the pics. Yes. I know. I'm a dork. We've already determined this.
. here's the tip at 60x:
And here's the tip at 200x, lol:
Ya, 200 seems a little much. So I stick on the 10x and 60x. Won't bore you with pics along the entire blade (I woulda used my 9 if I wanted to torture you) but I did find one little spot I'll show you:
So looks like I have something to do tonight, go me!
Someone asked about looking at a Clitched knife under the scope, so I did. I have not Cliched any Beckers yet, so this is a schf9. I dialed in on one spot. Here it is 10x:
60x, same spot:
And here is 200x:
Again, 200 seems a little much. One more pic, here is the edge at 200x rust hanging off:
