My new Sm. Classic Desert Ironwood sebbie...

Nice! I see you took the clip off; are you planning on carrying your Sebenza loose in your pocket, in a belt sheath or clipped to a lanyard?

I am carrying it (now) in the slip-sheath (provided with it). It protects it from my keys (not that I ever put them in my "knife pocket" anyway... :) BTW, my other EDC (work) knives are a Spydie Mouse, or a Schatt & Morgan whittler.

It's the first knife I ever removed a clip from...but in this case, I did it B/C my EDC knives need to be a bit more undercover as I work at the University of Iowa - one of the few "NO WEAPON zone" campuses (this even means no +2.5" blades; not even our campus police can carry firearms - though they are fighting to get the "right' to carry tasers as we speak). I have never had a problem having a knife clipped IWB, but I would hate to have such a nice knife as my new sebbie cause a scene...

Nice knife! I'm thinking one of those may be my next knife purchase.

Campus Police can't carry guns!  How are they supposed to deal with a violent criminal...harsh language? Suck to have that job!

Man oh man, I just LOVE ironwood!:D You have a very nice piece there Warrior! Did it come with your dob? My large regular 2001 woody has ironwood and I think it has to be some of the best looking wood available!:D :) :D

Nice knife!

"NO WEAPON zone" campuses (this even means no +2.5" blades

Are you saying that you can legally carry a knife with a blade less than or equal to 2.5 inches?

If so, you need an Umfaan! ;)

Pulling mine out, the blade is more than 2" but less than 2.5."

The Classics are my favourite blade and handle shape of the Sebenza lineup and that wood inlay, wow, I can't afford one...I really can't! Hmmm if I sold my car, rode my bike to and from work...hey! Maybe I can!?!

Thanks for the pics, if you get some better scans please update us, you know what a sucker we are for a pretty knife!

I am about to delve into the world of the small Sebenza:eek: I've never owned one only the large's. Come to think of it I don't even think I've held one! I will find out next week though as I traded my 2001 ironwoodie for the Classic ironwoodie that Chris has.

I've carried my large mad.rosewood Classic for the past three weeks, and my large leather Classic for the 4 months previous. I have come to favor the Classic handle and blade profile over the regular and the longer I have carried this woody the better I've come to like it. And just think about two months ago I was ready to get rid of it! Glad I didn't!:D

Will post my initial reactions to the small sebbie as soon as I get it.

Thanks again Chris!:D :)

THANK YOU ART!!! May my small blade serve you as well as I am sure your large one will serve me.

Guys/Gals, as most of you already know, there is seldom a better buying or trading experience, than when one dealing with Art. Thanks again, friend.

- Chris

.........the small Classic with ironwood that is!:D And Chris wasn't lying when he said "it sure is purdy"!:) The ironwood inlays are simply OUTSTANDING with a medium brown color overall and some dark stripes running through them. I believe it is the best looking ironwood I've seen, and I've had two different ironwood regulars!!

Only problem I see is it is small. I am used to the large models as they are all I've ever had. It could grow on me though. We'll just have to wait and see!

Chris, let me know when yours gets there. I am happy with the trade and will consider it a "done deal" as soon as I hear from you.

Hi Art! Yes, my (your) sebbie arrived today and my....it is very apparent that you loved her dearly. Thank you for such a well cared for and lovingly hand-polished masterpiece. (I'll post scans of this elusive knife ASAP :) ). Thanks again Art for yet another excellent transaction!

I sincerely hope you will get used to the small....It does seem to be the perfect size for descrete dress slacks carry.

Take care my friend.
