My New Small Starbenza Wilson Combat - Arrived

Very good looking blade, seems like a good balance if the milling does not do it for you on the Umnumzan and you prefer a Sebenza. Definitely like the dual Silver thumb studs on the Starbenza and Umnumzan.

I've always liked the look of those.
How does the milling feel in hand ?
It doesn't look to have crisp edges, nor do they look very deep. I've thought about getting one but I don't really care for the feel of the milling on the Umnumzaan. The groves on the Wilson doesn't look as deep and may feel nothing like it though.

@Ken44 - I've never held an Umnumzan, but the grooves are fairly light. Enough that you really don't feel them when gripping the knife. It's a great looking and feeling knife. If it had an insingo blade, it would be perfect - but I spoke with WC and there aren't any plans to bring one out.
 
Those Starbenza's are some real lookers!! Very cool!

Great looking knife! I have the zaan version, and hope to eventually add the small starbenza to my collection
 
This might be a silly question, but did you specify wanting the double thumb studs, or do they all come that way?

I noticed on the WC website that they only show a single thumb stud in there pictures.
 
Hi, I noticed on the WC site it shows the small knife with one lug, mine came with two. Not sure why, but I was happy :thumbup:

Old pics. They are all (large and small) double lug (have been for at least the past year, maybe longer). Makes for a very nice package ... and just a little more than a plain Sebenza.

I love the WC Star pattern on knives, bought the StarTac brand new, loved the grip but don't like the new pivot, sold it. Bought regular old pivot Umnumzaan from my good friend Mikepapa1 and really in love with it. My WC Eagle arrived yesterday and it is solid in hand because of the Star pattern. If you like Sebenza, you should own Starbenza Mikepapa1.

Very sharp. The Wilson Comcast Sebenzas and Umnumzaans are popular for a reason. :)

That would have sealed the deal for me. But looks like I might just have to go with the standard blade.

Wonder if I can buy an insingo blade from Chris and fit it in the StarBenza. :)
