Today I received the (new-style) SOG Tigershark that I traded one of my Camillus CQB-1 knives for, and I have to say that I DO like this knife! The blade-shape and balance is excellent, and it looks to be a very good "fighter". Although I am at least it's second owner, the AUS-6 blade on this Tigershark is razor-sharp, with very even "grind-lines", and a nice set of usefull serrations.
One change that I would like to see is more "roundness" to the handle, as it seems to be alittle "squarish" for my hand, although the rubber handle does feel good.
I like the knife alot, BUT the (kydex?) sheath could be ALOT better. The two pieces of the sheath don't quite "mesh" very well (it looks like it wasn't finished completly on the grinder), although alittle time with my Dremmel will solve that. Also, the knife sits very "low" in the sheath, and makes a quick draw pretty tough.
On the plus side, the sheath fits the knife very well, with NO "rattle" or looseness at all. The knife snaps in with authority.
Placed between my other two 9 inch "Bowies" (Coleman/Western W-49 Bowie, and Cold Steel Trail Master Bowie), I think I like the SOG Tigershark the best.
