My wife is a Southard so she surprised my with a Southard Spiderco with Shepard blue scales. I'm impressed with the size, balance, and the workmanship seems fantastic. She is on the Southard Genealogy forum and is trying to figure out how close a relative she is.

That is very cool! The Southard won alot of pocket time when I bought mine. It's a great edge blade for sure. Enjoy!

Wow, congratulations. I've wanted a southard since they have come out. Especially seeing what the guys can do on BF to pimp them out. Nice score.

Great knife. I really like mine. Best of luck with it. The wife's a keeper.

One thing I'm missing one screw to attatch the clip. I like using the clip on a knife to keep it in place and the former owner liked to have it loose in a business suit. I went to Lowes, Ace, and CAL hardware today and no one had the screws, can anyone help me out? Of course I'll pay.

Threefeathers, I have a Southard myself and I don't know what size screws they are--if I needed to replace one on mine, I would send an e-mail to Spyderco to ask what size they are--I'm sure someone around here can tell you--in fact I would recommend checking with spketch a member here.

I've got an extra screw. Shoot me an email at sketchenscales@gmail.
That's a fantastic gift and great work from Shepardcc as usual!

For reference, the clip screws are M2s.

The Southard is a great knife. You won't be disappointed. I've been EDC'ing mine for a few months now and don't see anything kicking it out of my pocket anytime soon. I have only seen great work from ShepardCC and your Southard is no exception.

Holy kazooti. I'm going to have to buy several more knives to buy from Shepard and Sketch to spif them up. I'm going to get one from Wilkins in Berlin because I was one of the 88 American soldiers who stood against 1500 or more Russians at C P Charlie on 10/27/61. (Yes someone else my age would be old) So I'm looking at my 0566 and perhaps a Benchmade Barrage or something similar. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy my Southard.

Beautifull knife!
The blue sculpted scales really make it stand out.
I love my Southard, makes me smile every time I flip it open.
Enjoy!

Thank You! You flatter me :)
Whenever you're ready, so am I. I have some really really cool New materials to play with too ;)
Hi. As i re fill my bank account I plan to have you spiff up another knife or two. Your grips on this knife are absolutely flawless.
