First I want to thank Paul Pfund (TallPaul) for getting my Sebenza dressed up for me. I also want to thank Chris Reeve Knives for doing the work on my Sebbie. When Paul posted the pics of his Calvary Sebenza I knew I had to have one. Well, I talked to Paul and he told me CRK could do a silver contrast on my regular plain Sebenza. So off I sent it. It came back today and I love it :D This thing looks so cool. Thanks again Paul!

Michael,

That is absolutely fabulous. I have a small plain. It makes me consider doing the same thing.. How long did it take turnaround??

Guys, I think it was a little less than a month. Well worth the wait. My wife wanted to carry it to work with her today and show it off but I hid it from her :D

Great "retrofit" and a great witness as well!

CRK is really the best I've seen at customer service.

And I think I like it without color-anodizing even more. The silver's nice, and makes more of a statement IMHO considering the subject material of the artwork!

Professor.

Oh my! Now that finally makes me want to actually buy a Sebenza. Nothing against Sebenzas meant by that; just didn't have that lust for them that so many seem to have. But now..... WOW!

Nice Michael, might have to go that route as well! would be a good way to break the ice in a way!

Although I do like the anodizing my self and the stone, have to think more on this...thanks for the pic!

just for comparison sake- here is the original....

That looks great. How does the finish hold up though? I assume that it cant be redone again so if it scratches badly are you out of luck?

Dennis, on mine the finish is a little marred but has "rubbed" out ok'. I have not babied it ,but I do carry it in a g-2 sheath. The silver contrast one will aquire petina over time. I am not sure on a "refinish" though I have heard it not impossible on other uniques...

Although I consider myself anti religion, that is a beautiful knife in every sense of the word. I doubt any LEO would EVER take it from you saying it's a weapon.

ReCoil45,

I am a LEO and I would absolutely say that knife was a weapon! I would immediately confiscate it and give him my business card. I would then direct him to call me in 10 to 12 months and we could discuss if he would get it back. During that entire time I would carry it!

:D

I'm pretty easy going and If your post was in jest all is well. If not, STEALING someones high end knife and using it for a yr and then Discussing if you are going to give it back is pathetic at best and a crime at worst.
Terry Stops are not cute and your the kind of person that gives cops a bad name. It would appear you are giving the guy a break but in fact you are keeping the knife for your own selfish gain. You are either an egomaniac who does not deserve a postion of authority or ...........balance edited for vulgarity.

Jeffery,

I guess if you are someone who doesn't know me (AND YOU ARE NOT!) I could see a misinterpretation. Just a suggestion for the future, ask a couple of questions before you blow your top.

IT WAS A JOKE!!! :p Did you see the big smiley face at the bottom??!! " :D "

I think that knife is a beautiful piece of art.

The fact the post is over 3 months old and if you "checked" on my status on this forum, should tell you something about me. I take my job very serious and attacks on my character are not appreciated.

That being said, we all make mistakes. Enjoy the forums.

;)
