My new Speedtech Synergy

I just got mine last week . It was an IPO with the hand ground blade with red and white California camo. It is one of the slickest opening knives that I've held in a while. Plus Jim is a great guy to work with.

So you did get one, looks nice, comfortable handle, does it feel like it might twist in the hand when you use it? I wondered if it wasn't too rounded sometimes.

I own and have owned a lot of knives. My SpeedTech hasn't left my side since the day it arrived. I think you will enjoy this knife.

thanks for sharing your new toy with us

i ordered my sweetie a Speedtech for Christmas--he knows, he had to tell me which colour, etc--and i want to wrap it to put it in his stocking, which means i'm gonna have to practically hijack the UPS truck to get the package before he does

... hee hee, hope i'm not being TOO mean...but no, i guess being too mean would be if i posted a pic on BF of his new synergy but then wrapped up the knife so he couldn't play with it...now, THAT would be mean

i like that handle colour scheme. that's the Gold Wine, right? pretty.

Knifeslinger, can you post a pic of the IPO blade so we can drool, er, um, look at it?

I had the Elishewitz IPO tanto Synergy. #5 I believe. Had the 2 tone blade. I should have kept it, but traded for the whole enchilada...

an Elishewitz custom Striker.

AWESOME knife, great idea, PERFECT...but it seemed a little wide. Maybe the slim one would be more my pace. I hope Speed-Tech designs another knife sometime soon. BTW, the coarser handle in the plain black or plain Ti. is my preference, and textured thumbstuds are a must as well. Can't wait to get my hands on another, hopefully ground be Elishewitz too. -AR

This is an Elishewitz blade as well. I have basically been using it as my carry knife for a month. It is great, and doesn't feel like slipping at all. The blade finish is starting to show quite a few marks from use.

I think it is called "goldwine" finish... to be honest, i guess the lady i talked to just sweet talked me into it... i wanted a good looking knife. The Sebenza is a great (maybe the greatest ever) carry, but the plane one is a little dorky looking.

Gary, the Synergy really locks into your hand well, no slippage or rolling.

Did someone just call my Beautiful, sleek, stylish Sebenza dorky?!? The word is elegant.

Gold wine as written on the receipt for mine.
Hot volcanic lava works for me.

Mike how did u mess up your knife?

James, lol.

The Synergy is definetely one of the knives at the top of my wish list. I handled one and was very impressed.

one quick note: i just got off the phone a little while ago, talking with Jim O'Young of Speedtech about the details of my sweetie's christmas present. i was impressed with the time he took with me (emailing me several times to get details just right, calling me after a long day on the road), and his obvious hard work to make sure i was a happy customer...real old-fashioned personalized service.

So Jim's great to work with, and we're really looking forward to our, um, er, ah, my sweetie's new knife

As it's a proto, I'm going to try keeping my Synergy out of use, but man, that is one sweet *ss knife! Couldn't help myself yesterday...

One of the best handles I've ever felt, and a perfect, oily movement. Absolutely buy these knives! I WILL have more of them!

PS - Goldwine is cool!

The design is perfect for me. having used the knife from the day I purchased it in June, I still carry and continue to use this knife. Does everything I ask of it. Don't leave home wiht out it!!!!!!!
Jim you have done well!!!!!!!
