The philips screwdrivers on small SAKs (Such as the Rambler) work too.
As with most newer Spyderco's the clip screws on the Spin are #6 Torx. If there's a Home Depot within driving distance of you, they sell a little Husky set witha a handle and 4 double ended Torx bits (8 different sizes), including the #6 and all the other sizes found on Spyderco knives. Price is around $6 and the part number is HD-74502 T. Excellent investment. However, I do not have an itty bitty tool to remove the screws that attach the clip to the knife. Does anyone know where I can find such a tool?
Thank you VERY much for such a specific answer to my question! As with most newer Spyderco's the clip screws on the Spin are #6 Torx. I'll probably end up getting the bits as well as trying Vivi's method with a SAK.
I agree with David, that's a REALLY bad idea. All you will accomplish is to damage the screwheads, and perhaps make them impossible to remove. I have a hunch Vivi either does not have a Spin, or did not look at the screws before posting that suggestion.I'll probably end up getting the bits as well as trying Vivi's method with a SAK.
