I just got this itty bitty knife and I love it! :D

However, I do not have an itty bitty tool to remove the screws that attach the clip to the knife. Does anyone know where I can find such a tool?

Thanks.

The philips screwdrivers on small SAKs (Such as the Rambler) work too.

As with most newer Spyderco's the clip screws on the Spin are #6 Torx. If there's a Home Depot within driving distance of you, they sell a little Husky set witha a handle and 4 double ended Torx bits (8 different sizes), including the #6 and all the other sizes found on Spyderco knives. Price is around $6 and the part number is HD-74502 T. Excellent investment.

Thank you VERY much for such a specific answer to my question! :D

I'll probably end up getting the bits as well as trying Vivi's method with a SAK.

The 4-cornered Philips bits don't fit well in a 6-sided Torx hole and will likely mess them up before taking them out. Go with Deacons suggestion and get a set of Torx bits that will fit properly.

The screws may be held in with LocTite. Applying a little heat (touching the screw with a soldering iron) will release blue LocTite and make stripping the screws less likely.

I agree with David, that's a REALLY bad idea. All you will accomplish is to damage the screwheads, and perhaps make them impossible to remove. I have a hunch Vivi either does not have a Spin, or did not look at the screws before posting that suggestion.

Up until a couple years back almost all Spyderco clip screws were phillips head. However, aside from the FRN ones that use the barrel bolt style clip, all the models released in the last two years or so use Torx head clip screws.

My mistake, I didn't look closely. I thought that knife had philips style screws like the clips on an Endura. My suggestion was only meant for knives with philips clip screws.

Benchmade sells a little blue tool kit that contains basically all of the torx bits you will ever need to disassemble any knife with torx screws. I love mine and use it constantly. BTW, that spin looks like a really cool little knife. I had no idea it was so small!

You can go to sears and just use one of the displays they have hanging up to make sure it fits. I think they are about $2 apiece.
