Have a look at this beauty, just procured in a recent trade with a fellow forumite. I have been looking for a stainless Rookie for a long time, and my local dealer here in Canada has long since been out of stock on this discontinued knife.

The image here is not a great picture of the fabulous engraving which is also present on the blade of this knife, but it will give you an idea of it's appearance. Pretty cool, huh?

Thanks fellows,

I beleieve it was done at Spyderco, although I'm not sure of the details. When opened, the spider web on the handle lines up with more web that runs along the top edge of the blade. It's been very well done indeed.

I've been trying to get a glare-free image of the knife that will show up the engraving more clearly. I'll keep trying...

Jeff.

Wow that's an awesome rookie. I have been thinking about getting a rookie too. i think A plain edge rookie would be an awesome companion to my G-10 Harpy that is my EDC. It would be super hard to find something as cool as that one though. I too would be interested in finding out more about the engraving. if it was aftermarket I know a lot of people that would wanna get in touch with that guy:D

That is one fine knife Jeff! I to think the ss Rookie is a great knife, I have been carrying mine for the last few months as my edc. It's fast, smooth, sharp and high quality. There is no blade play on mine in any direction!

Patti,

Thank you for providing this information. I felt bad not having much to offer.

Cheers, Jeff.
