Well, finally got my first Strider at the ECCK show in March. It's an SNG DGG and I absolutely love it and have not put it down in over a month ! I have a Sebenza, and have handled a few Hinderers, but the feel, look and overall cool of the Strider is head and shoulders above the rest. I know people will debate it forever.....saying the fit and finish of the Sebenza and the over-built qualities of the Hinderer.......blah blah........but IMO the SNG is the perfect knife. I will get a CC version next !!!

I've owned a few SnGs and have liked all of them. The CC option is very cool. I have an XM-18, Large Sebenza, and an SnG. The SnGs weren't quite as smooth over-all initially as the other two, but the F&F on them was still awesome and they were put together nicely. And, I just love the ergos and looks of the SnG...moreso than the Sebenza or XM-18.

I think you'll really enjoy your SnG. I find it to be a great knife for most tasks and they carry great and are very comfy in the hand, in my experience. SnG is a great design.

SnG is a fine knife! Regardless of what some people think about Strider. I even like mine better than my XM-18. It certainly carries better and is easier to deploy.

The unbelievably heroic military background of both Strider and his partner, which is engineered into all their products, is enough to make their knives head and shoulders above the rest.

Lol. Agreed--after all he rolled with "heavy hitters" and was involved in "special operations" and so forth (all the more impressive considering miscellaneous documentation showing he served in the army for all of eleven months, leaving as an E-1 barred from reenlistment).

I'm sure it's a great knife. Screw Strider, though.

OP- it's a good knife. The DGG was just a little too thin for me. I think you'll like the CC.

Yep. Great knife but you forgot to mention armed carjacking ex-con felon......all that along with pride of ownership. :D

You're right, I forgot that bit. Though my favorite part has always been his allocution as part of his court case settlement: ;)

Mick Strider hereby acknowledges that he has never been deployed as a U.S. Army Ranger. Strider also acknowledges that he has never served in or participated with SOCOM (Special Operations Command). Strider also acknowledges that he has never had any combat experience with any branch of the U.S. Military or U.S.Government Agencies, nor has he participated in any "Black Ops". Strider served in 2/75, but never graduated Ranger School. Strider lost all rank, was barred from re-enlistment and was discharged from the Military as a Private.

I like Lego for SnGs and cc on the SmF. And I don't care are about the whole strider is a douche thing. Yes I think falsely claiming military back round is BS. But I love the knives. Personally your back round had no impact on me buying a knife brand. The quality of the knife makes me buy it. After a hinderer, crk sebenza 25 and zaan. I found I like striders design the best.
