I just picked this up last week at TREXPO in VA. What a cool knife.

Sweet!
Nice M13 as well-who did the od green finish on the frame/cocking lever?
How's it holding up?
cheers,
Derek

Nice on. Nice choice in pistols, most of us here have HKs, but most of them are USP variants. I am also wondering about that OD finish.

Take it easy,
Reed

I had talked to wilsons at one time about armor-tuffing my p7, but they said I had to send it to them completely disassembled, and quoted a horrible turn around time. I know walter birdsong used to do od finishes, and I think mark graham at arizona response systems does it too with metacol 3.
P7's a great pistol, but damn it gets hot during those practice sessions!
cheers,
Derek

Derek & Reed,

I did the re-finish myself. It is about the sixth gun that I have done. The frame is matte OD green and the slide is semi gloss black. The finish is called Moly Resin and is made by John Norrell. This is my back up duty gun and was in need of new finish. My primary duty gun is also a P7 M13 but it is all OD and was done by Wilson about three or four years ago. The finish is very durable and is baked on.

This Strider thing is contagious. Two months ago I had none. The it started with a used MT, then a mini Buck, then a one of a kind Tanto and now the EBT. When will it end? LOL

Damn good looking finish. good job.
Does the moly help any with keeping the heat down? I know my little M8 heats up something fierce after 200 rounds.
any noticable difference?
thanks,
Derek

Derek,

I does not help with the heat. We just got done with out tac team training and went through over 3000 rounds of 9mm in less than 3 hours. Yes, they get very hot, but everyone on theteam wears gloves of some type. The moly does help keep the need for lubricant down to a minimum. Thanks for the kind words.

Stay safe,

Lynn
