My new stuff from Oregon

While I didn't get quite as much stuff as Chuck did, I did manage to snag myself a few goodies.

First we have two original Taylor "The Master" pen Balis. $15 new in box, I couldn't believe it.

I was also given two cherry model 45's by the wonderful people at Benchmade. Of course the scan doesn't do them justice.

Here we have a cool little Balisong key ring, along with the coveted Benchmade prototype (1 of 1) key fob. Eat your heart out Chuck

Nice knives Clay,
Did Benchmade just give you those 45's? So how was the trip? What kinds of things did you do?

Do you think Mike Jordan buys his Nikes?

Clay is the best there is. This is called "product placment." They certainly didn't want Clay doing his demo with a bunch of Jaguars.

Clay sung for his meal demonstrating for the entire company. It was a great demonstration and he did a great job of encouraging the entire crew to keep up the good work.

(Oh, and don't think I wear that Benchmade shirt for no reason.)

BTW, the BM42 had the center place of honor a the benchmade exhibit. The BM crew reported that it was one of the most requested and most handled pieces on the table. This is in no small part, I'm sure, due to the demo. The guy with the cheapies on his table practically sold out after each demo. (He e-mailed me a very nice note).

Hey Mickey77, if you think thats good (two free 45's) wait until I scan the model 42 they're sending me. I should have it by Thursday.

.......... and let me see if I got this right. The employees of Benchmade present me with two cherry 45's, and you think I'm going to somehow part with them.

Ahahahahahahahaa............. good one dude. Ya' almost had me on that one.

Gary, I was walking around with at least 4 Balis on me at all times. Without ever having to worry about the law! How could you NOT think about moving to place like that????

Chuck is right, Michael Jordan doesn't pay for his shoes. In other sports, like skiing or golf, manufacturers custom make equipment to the pro's specs. Clay, you could get Benchmade to custom make your balis with wider handles the way you like 'em. I bet, they would make them with any metal you wanted the for handles. Like stainless steel instead of the titanium, but still use the 42's pins. Just a thought.
