My New Tan RC-4

Hey guys let me just say that the tan RC-4 I received the other day has to be one of the best looking knives I've ever seen. I imagine it will perform as well as it looks. Here's a few pictures I took fooling around with the old camera:

I must say however, I found the edge out of the package to be rather inadequate. It took a little work on the stone and hone to bring it up to a razor edge. Other than that the quality is superb :D Great job guys!

Very nice, congrats. The green canvas handles are the most useful RC handles made IMO.
 
Cool! I actually ordered the exact same knife about a week ago and hope to receive it this week, my very first RAT...:eek:Can' t wait;)
 
Welcome. Same RC4 I ordered. I didn't find the edge inadequate, however I like my knives exceptionaly sharp. So I convexed the edge.
 
It is a very pretty knife. I wish I could have got the DT RC-4 rather than the black, but as I had to buy on the second-hand market I didn't have much choice; a black RAT is better than no RAT :)

I'll just have to pick up an RC-3 in DT :D
 
I like the looks of the DT blade but I prefer the linen scales on the black model to the canvas on the DT. They just feel better to me. By the way I own both versions :D
 
Nice. I have one too. The micarta gets dingy quick, but still grips.
Mine was decently sharp when I got it.

Oh...and congratualations on the new knife! :o The RC-4 is a great functional blade. It has become my most used knife. :thumbup:

If we we're able to pick and choose between blade colors and handle colors/materials, RAT Cutlery would forever be my favorite company (Not that it isn't already) ;)
