Hey men,first post, longtime lurker.
Just got back from a South Fl. knife show and picked up a beauty.
A fixed blade Theuns Prinsloo 4 inch with blue stained giraffe
shinbone handle with file work and cape buffalo sheath.
I would have gone close to 500.00.
It's perfect and gorgous.
This guy really knows how to make a knife.
It's like it was made for MY hand.
Stole it for 225.00.
I don't have as many knives as some of you,but I have quite a few.
I also have 30 years in Martial arts and a good 20 in knife fighting.
I'm very impressed.

I can't believe I paid 25.00 less for this hand made, custom, work of art, then the "Cold Steel", rubber handled, prybar, next cabinet over.
Ahh ignorance is bliss.
I looked at dozens of Randalls and hundreds of other knives.
This was the best by far.

Arn't gunshows great!
I work at a gun range/store so I don't even look at the guns.
But to see and feel the knives in person.
That's the ticket.
I need to get to a knife show,I think I'll flip out.

Later.

Ronin1911, glad to have you join us. I know what you feel like. I met Theuns at the New York show last month, and got a neat little 2.5" blade, file work, and tiny engraved hunters on one side of the bolster and gazelles & giraffes on the other, and cape buffalo sheath. The blue-dyed giraffe bone handle looks like fine ceramic.

I saw somw of the neatest little folders by this maker and loved them. I believe they were at Bladeart. Had a sub 2" blade but the style was just great.
