My buddy gave it to me. He had no history except his kids had played with it. I’ve never messed with one before.

Pretty smart to integrate a flat blade screwdriver in the tip.... at least someone had the common decency to file it flat instead of leaving it ragged. I might just leave it. But I could re-tip it. Guess we’ll see.

Overall it’s tacky, not too comfortable. It won’t open one handed I guess cause the handles are pinching the blade slightly. A few drops of oil helped some, but not much. If I was to sharpen it, it could be a fun toy I reckon, maybe a knife dedicated to the lawnmower or chainsaw box. The price was right.

Anyone actually like these things?

Is there anyone who actually like these things? Probably not lol,... but for someone who doesn't care and just needs a knife shaped object, that you could also screw and pry with, sure, it will do that.

My brother-in-law has one of those finger hole Gerber knives, but an aluminum or steel handle version. He is also one of those guys who thinks Gerber is "high end"..

For me, this would be one of those knives that I would just randomly find in a kitchen drawer one day, and have no idea of where it came from 😂

Well, I found a use for it, and none better. My boy plays with it. It’s just dull enough to not cut him, sharp enough he can saw through a weed. He is 3, and proud as heck to have a knife like dad.

We went in the back and chopped down a dead walnut tree, about 6”. Pulled it back to the house. And he debarked it all by himself in the drive while I whittled and supervised.

So I guess they do have a purpose after all.
