Its been a good 5-6 months since I bought a new CRK, and after this one, it will be some time yet again. Was only able too get this by selling my small 21 Lignum Vitae. Now to my new toy........!!!
I had a small 21 silver dog paws years ago and sold it off to buy another that I had wanted. As much as I liked it, I had always wished it was a large as the small s just a tad small for me and my needs. When this one popped up at a good price, I jumped on it. It was a large 21 silver dog paws with a silver dog paws lanyard to boot. It is a little scuffed, which is fine as I plan to use it. The blade was VERY dull with some flat spots even from use. It was never sharpened and had the factory edge, just dull dull dull. About an hour on the sharpmaker brought it back to its hair popping edge. Its now scary sharp. Started with the medium brown stones to remove the defects and the flat spots, then to the fine stones to clean it up and put the edge back on it, then finally to the ultra fine stones to put that extra hair popping edge back on it. Amazing that is such a short time, I went from flat spots, to hair popping sharp.
As for my rotation, I have had these 3 CRK laying about and when I need a knife, I just grab one. The large regular had so much tape and glue on it from opening packages and cutting open boxes that it was tough to get off. The zaan gets some use, not as much as it did in the past though. The 25 has gotten plenty of use and has grown on me significantly since I bought it. And now the large 21 dog paws to compliment them all, and YES, the 21 has grown on me as well............ Nice to get to use them all and see how they perform side x side.
Without Further Adu..........
