My new Toy! Ricardo Vilar Chopper!

Ricardo made this one for demos at hammer ins and the like. Quite crude looking but very well balanced, tough as hell and a real pleasure to cut with. It has a 9" long blade and is forged from 5160.
I used it at a hammer in a few weeks ago and fell in love with it on the spot so I bugged Ricardo until I finally got it this week. Though I needed to give myself a Christmas gift!
Have not got the chance to cut much with it since its arrival as this has been a very busy week for me but can´t wait for the chance!
By the way, the cardboard box it came in states "the best toys for all children" - and this 32 year old child is sure satisfierd with his!

Big tough no-frills hard-working knives are a category I have come like very much, primarily from seeing such knives used to impressive effect in cutting competitions. That's a nice one - congrats!
