Just picked up my very first CRK tonight, an Umnumzaan. Mine is freshly minted this month! Wow, the fit and finish is awesome and the tolerances are excellent. The blade is perfectly centered, even more than my pics shows. Oh, I picked up the take-down kit, too.
Due to the recent threads, I was curious to about how sharp it would be...it is scary sharp, easily the sharpest knife in my collection, even sharper than my Spydie Stretch II with ZDP-189. And the pivot tension is just fine...only slightly stiff, which is great because when it breaks in, it should be like butter.
I checked the thumb-stud and the size of the hole in the blade seems to indicate that it is a one-piece pressed unit.
I had to remove the lanyard, which is a shame because it is so pretty, because it generally got in the way. I didn't want to attract attention to my pocket. I also didn't think it would be conducive to MBC take away drills as my preference is to not have even the butt of the handle sticking out of my hand, let alone a strong cord for the opponent to grab.
