Holy guacamole .... my first Wayne Whittaker and first Eggerling Damascus. Have always admired Wayne's folders ... very ornate and colorful. However, this one really caught my eye. Had been admiring it for a while and finally decided what the heck ..... It sports a 2.5 inch mosaic pattern on blade and bolsters, presentation grade abalone scales, 11 Alpinites in thumb stud and frame, fully filed frame, blade spine and back spacer and some abalone inserted in the back spacer as well. Some pics (which hardly do the knife justice):

Amazing work of art, this is one of those folders that even non knife people would love and admire. A Big Congrats Dennis:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks. I keep pulling her out to look at!! Personally, could have gone without stones in the handle ..... but the color does go well with the abalone. Wayne has done a number of knives in this particular style, but I like the color/material combination in this one the best. Still have to take a pic of the spine and try to get better shots of the abalone .... but have too much to do the next couple days.

Quite the looker you have there Dennis. Love the damascus and the abalone inlays are hypnotizing. Truly a piece of art.
Congrats!

Abalone and Mother Of Pearl is a bugger to photograph. I'd say you did pretty darned well! Beautiful knife!

Thanks Dale ..... coming from you .... that's a big compliment! But still, this is one of those knives you really need to see in person to appreciate.
