My new Web Site - Shop Pictures

Andrew, veeeeeeery nice:D

The shop looks suspiciously like a lab though. Do you experiments, late at night;)

Outstanding Andrew! The web site is very nice and easy to navigate. I like the way the main links stay on the left and your introduction is excellent. You knives are amazing works of art and craftsmanship! Very well done!

Thanks for the complements Michael! MikeS, who told you about the experiments? What do you think the "area behind the shop" is for?

Enjoyed my visit to your site a lot, Andrew. Good info, easy to use, nice photos, beautiful knives. What a shop!! Wow! I've been in hospital rooms that weren't that clean!! Congrat's on the new site.:)

Cool, Andrew! I've been wondering when you'll finally go live with the website. It's laid out very nice and easy to navigate. I'll give you a jingle sometime soon so we can catch up.

Andrew, that's a class act all the way. You put the same craftsman ship into your website design you do your beautiful knives. I'll pass the link along, it's really nice.

But I really can't imaging how you got everything so clean! I thought I was clean, but hospital room is right! I bet you used touch up paint, didn't you? ;)

Thank you for sharing, this made my evening!

Dave

Richard and Dave, I appreciate the kind words. I'm guessing that my shop might be a little too clean? I had just repainted the floor after dragging the surface grinder in, and I do mean dragging. Just ask Alan Folts and my three neighbors. Barely got the thing in.

Dexter, I didn't like the first version of my website so I sat on it until I could put something better together. I know I mentioned the previous version to you a couple of times. Glad you like the end result. The knife community is amazing all the way around. I look forward to talking with you.

MikeS, the thing under the bench is only half grown...

I enjoyed your new site. It is very well done and clean and simple to navigate.

The shop is cleaner than mine even after I mop! How do you keep everything so clean? Good job on the layout.

Your knives reflect the cleanliness and organization of your shop. Nice clean lines, superb designs, first-rate materials. Every one looks like it would just 'fit' if you picked it up.

The photos are also quite good, especially the knives. Do you do the photos or send the knives out?

Real nice spread. Thanks for taking the time to share it!

Dave

Thank you for the complements Nathan and Dave. An organized shop works for me.

Dave, Terrill Hoffman took four of the knife images on my site and I took the rest including the shop pics. I've been using a Kodak DC-4800 and a light tent for the knives. I picked up tips from Terrill and the photography forum at Custom Knife Directory and then added my own twist. As far as my knives go I try to keep good clean classic lines. I know it doesn't lend itself to the whiz bang factor but it tends to keep its appeal over time.

WOW !

I've been in the USAF for 20+ years and I must say. . .you're shop is impeccable ! Neat, orderly and definitely up to our standards (actually ~ my standards). And I'm a picky bastid ! ! ! And the knife action ain't too bad either !

Absolutely 20 thumbs up on a scale of 10 ! !

Thanks so much for sharing !

Andrew, Thats a very well done web-site. Its simple and easy to use and has beautifully done photos. Your knives are outstanding! Thanks for the tour, I enjoyed it much.

Thanks Again! It's my pleasure. I seem to like most everything I've gotten into around knife making. Recently I've been reading a html text. Never did before. Ditto on photography. Its been fun! (cuts and burns aside):)

Wonderful knives! That site got bookmarked before I even opened a page-an unusual distiction.

But that shop DOES look suspiciously like a 'before' picture of a knifemaking shop. I could POWERWASH my shop for three days and it would'nt be that clean.

Very nice site.
Larry

Site look great. Very easy on the eyes. A minor sugestion. The link color after U click on it is yellowish and hare to read. may want to change the color.

pic look beutmous.

Otha

Thanks again guys! Larry, who told you about the powerwashing? :D Otha, I have noticed what you are suggesting. I couldn't decide if it was better for it to be less visible after visiting a link or not. I will look at the HTML color guide and see what color might look better; then change it in all of my HTML files. I read something that said it is easier to plan and get it right (more or less) before writing the code. Good advice!

Really, really nice lil' place. I too have a small space to work in and damn if it ain't super messy. Looks sooo well lit and clean, makes me wanna go clean mine up and throw some more lighting into it. Money too !, great job ! I'm takin a lesson from ya.....RDT
