This is my new out in the woods knife. D2, a quarter inch thick, mesquite scales. Just over six inches overall.

That's one fine lookin knife, will do all that needs to be done. Hell, it already lightened your wallet.:D Wish it were mine.

The grind and handles look nice. Is there any specific reason you wanted a 1/4 inch thick blade on a knife of that size?

It has a convex grind, so it is sharp, but the thickness at the spine gives me the "meat" to baton with it or just about anything else I might run up against.

That's pretty cool, and it will definitely take a beating. What sort of sheath do you carry it in?

Very nice looking knife!
That's a tool that'll give you excellent service!

Bit too thick for my own personal needs/wants though.

I like it too , on a smaller blade like that I can see where it would come in handy to have a nice thick blade.

Good lord, a quarter inch thick D2, you could probably baton through a Harley with that!
