I'm hoping that someone will recognize this knife and give me some info on it. As often happens, I ran across this in my stuff and have no idea when, or where I aquired it or what it is. I have no paperwork with it or any box other than the fitted jewlery type that I found it in. I know it's a N/S 112, S30V, and probably elk but that's it.

Looks a lot like the club offering a couple years back. I think those had the club stamp though. I know the 110 was offered in '06, I think the 112 was '07.

Hi Dave,

2TONYB has it nailed. It's one of the BCCI club knives. You got it from me some time ago. However, when it came to your home it was inside a black Buck custom box with a gold band.
Here is some scans of the knife with it's pal before it moved to your home;)

I hear those knives with no box are nearly worthless. I would be happy to get rid of it for you. Very nice knife by the way, my most favorite club fund raiser yet.

That knife was offered in the June 06 news letter. The scales are Sambar stag; there is also a 110 to match and the scales are the same.

:o:o You're right and I'm embarrased. I just looked around and found the box. :o

Thanks for the help guys.

Handsome knife Dave. I believed those were offered in 2004 as a Club fund raiser. One may still be able to get the recent club offering like it only with plumb handled paperstone. DM

Here is a photo of the BCCI 110 &112 together. As you can see these were a fantastic knife issue. However, the Sambar stag on these knives is a bit plane. I saw one of our BF members who was selling some of his knives to buy some guns and the stag on his was way better....so it's all in the luck of the draw

Well, I started digging again to see if maybe I had one of the matching 110's and guess what. I found that I had a second 112 (top one in the picture). The Sambar on it is different and a bit darker. I'm still looking for the 110.................................

That 112 sure looks good with the drop point blade.

Kinda strange but in most everything, jewelry, paint, truck colors, etc. I prefer substantially prefer gold over silver. But there's something about a nickel silver buck that I like quite a bit better than the brass??

Yep Dave,

The top knife was the one Gordon sold here on the forum. The stag on that one is 50% better than the ones I got. That Sambar has better color and ruffer bark, it's the way I expect Sambar stag to look. The bottom knife, like the ones in my photo are no different than nice Elk stag. But, with a boat load of knives to make for an order, not all of them are going to be equal and so it is with natural materials (it's all in the luck of the draw).

I agree, to me the N/S is just a little classier looking.

John, you have one hell of a memory! Thanks for jogging mine. I just found the sale listing and turns out I also bought the 110 from him. Now I just have to find it.

Those of you not happy with the quality of your stag scales, I will gladly relieve you of the burden of having to look at them. ;)

Plumber, Those are sure a handsome pair. Very dressy 112's. I slept thru those the 1st time around. Now on the paperstone 112 offering, I will not be akin to Rip Van Winkle. Those are essentially the same blade and handle just lighter and different handle material. DM

You know, brass or silver, that shaped blade is just so much better for EDC use. I really, really, really wish they would start putting those blades on something that is in production. I love my 500 but could even live with the thicker 112 frame. Just please Buck... put that blade in production in a decent frame.

How can that be called a Buck 112 when it has a Buck 500 blade? :D :D :D

It's a 442 Bucklite blade, not a 500 so I guess it's actually a stag Bucklite! In the 2006 newsletter that shows them, the pictured knife has a blade stamped 442 in it.

Here's a comparison picture showing the 442 with the 112.
