Howdy folks. Got a new ZT0350 yesterday and thought I would share some ZT fan pics.

Enjoy.

Here she is just sitting on the box

So far so good. I have noticed that the blade geometry seems a little off - net result is that the tip is a little off to one side when closed. Seems like blade geometry to me as the rest of the blade looks perfectly centered. The when you get to the tip it's just a bit off.

Opens well with the flipper. Have about 200-250 cycles with the flipper and only one failure to lock.

The thumbstud on the other hand is really grinding away at my thumb and locks about 65-75% of the time. I consider my Blur the benchmark for assisted thumbstud opening and I have no knife that even comes close to it. I expect that once I develop better technique (an my thumb heals) and the pivot works in a little the 0350 will lock up more reliably using the thumbstud.

The 0200 on the other hand just flies open. The flipper is perfect and the blade locks up with the thumbstud over 90% of the time.

I really like both these knives and expect more ZT's to be joining the collection.

Wanted to add this pic of the blade alignment. I would say that from the pivot to about halfway to three quarters down the blade the alignment looks ok. Then it starts to head off to the non-lock side of the liner. Sorry for the huge pic but it shows the blade better. Does this look like blade geometry or is this adjustable through the pivot screw? Also - I have never adjusted the blade position with the pivot screw on an assisted knife before. What is the process? Do you just loosen the screw and move the blade then tighten the screw? How would that work?

Cool knives, great pictures. I have one of the 350s on order, can't wait to have it in hand.

Just got a 350 yesterday. Was a little disappointed at the size, seeing as my only other ZT is a 0200, but it's growing on me quickly. I have had it fail to open fully a couple of times though, but that's probably more to do with technique than anything. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Another winner in the assisted thumbstud opening is the Kershaw Avalanche. I like it more than the Blurs, actually.

Do you mean to big or too small?

The ZT0350 is definitely smaller. The blade is 3.25". The ZT0200 blade is 3.825".

But I just got a ZT0301 blem from Kershawguy today - massive knife - feels bigger than the 0200. OAL about .25" shorter than the 0200 but the handle and blade are/is wider. I will try to get side by side pics so you can see what I mean. I highly recommend the 0300/0301 if you like the 0200. The 0300 series has much more in common with the 0200 than does the 0350.

Congratulations. Looks awesome. No help here on the blade alignment question.

The ZT 0350 and 0301 were my first two ZT's (in that order). Both are great. The 0301 is still my favorite handling knife. It just fits the hand perfectly. It is a huge knife though. I had thought of the 0350 as a Blur on steroids. The 0301 is like a 0350 after being exposed to some gamma radiation (it's even got green handles ;)).

I carry this knife (but partially serrated) almost everyday and have for the past couple years. great pictures and my knife is centered off to the other side when closed but locks up nicely. a touch of side to side play has developed over time though. I'm looking forward to that 566!

Sorry, should have clarified, yes too small. It wasn't until I had agreed to buy on the Oz Exchange that I started reading it was closer to the Blur in size, and I sold my Blur when I got my 0200. However, the 350 has ridden with me all day today and I have to say I'm starting to freaking love this thing. Certainly put any thoughts of getting a Para 2 out of my head, as I see them fitting a similar niche and I am always inclined to lean toward brute force over elegance when it comes down to it. :)

I carried mine almost everyday for a year. Great knife and i guess i just got a good one but I've never once had a failure to lock up or anything else wrong with it for that matter. I cut a tin can open with it one day and managed to roll the edge a little bit right in the belly of the blade and that took me a while to fix on the Sharpmaker but i eventually got it back to paper slicing sharp. :)

never had a Kershaw or my ZT 0350 AO fail to lock unless i tightened the pivot to much...My 0350 was the same as yours with the centering though.Doesn't rub so i don't worry about it

Even, when the knife is new- some speedsafe knives needs some break in, I had that experience with my Echelon. About 20 openings, and it was ready to go.

Looks just like my pair - great looking knives! Really liking the size and deployment of the 301 too. Now my problem is which one do I carry?

Well I usually carry two knives - a larger flipper and a smaller less expensive and less "aggressive looking" flipper. I would definitely use the less expensive knife for can cutting.

The 350 lock ups just fine the speed safe. I have had some lock up problems using the thumbstud. My 0350 does not appear to be rubbing the liner either, and that small bit if misalignment does not seem to be problem so I will leave it.

Even, when the knife is new- some speedsafe knives needs some break in, I had that experience with my Echelon. About 20 openings, and it was ready to go.

I have noticed that more with unassisted flippers. I have a Skyline that needed a good couple hundred flips and some remoil before it smoothed out.

The 0350 is a gorgeous knife.

The tiger stripes version has always appealed to me.

But for some unknown reason that limited run orange G10 0350 is screaming my name. I must have it.
