My Newest Addition - Small Classic

Question:
If I send it in for double lugs and silver hardware, will CRK replace the lock-side screw with new style screws (which I don't want)?

Very nice! Can you send in just the blade? You could ask them not to change screws. Also, of they replace hardware I think you get the old stuff back with the knife.

When I sent mine in for the exact same upgrade, they did replace the hardware, and I didn't get the old stuff back with the knife.

To be fair, I did not request this though either as it didn't occur to me they would change out the screws too. So it was really my error. With other knives, they've always done just what I've asked.

Irked me at first (at me, not them) but since it is a user anyway, I quickly got over it. I frankly just don't see that much difference between the newer small Sebs.

But, if you're intending the knife to stay all original for your collection, I'd call first to confirm, as well as being very specific what you'd like done on the accompanying paperwork. You should be ok then.

Thanks for the info!

Nice! There are a few things on the Classic that I appreciate--mostly small details, but the larger chamfer on the lug cut-out, the rounded lockbar release area, and the double-bevel on all of the edges make for a pretty sweet knife.
