This is what I brought home with me today. Other than the blade feeling a little stiff while opening using the flipper tab, I really like it. Hopefully it will loosen up with use.

I dont mean to belittle and maybe you already know, but check and make sure when opening you aren't putting any finger pressure on the frame lock, making it difficult to flip. It's real easy to do on my 0460 and took some getting used to. The pocket clip on my 0450 has slipped over the lock before essentially doing the same thing.

Nice score! The 0801 is really an awesome knife.
For me, it has perhaps the best ergos of any knife ever.
It’s the heaviest folder I own, but somehow it carries lighter than it should.
Besides, sometimes a heavier knife just feels right!

Enjoy that babay!

I love my 801. I've had two easily fixed problems. Pivot kept coming loose because I flipped the knife more than a normal person. Blue lock tight and never again. Clip wouldn't slide down over my pocket correctly. Shaped wrong/too tight in the bend. Got a new aftermarket deep carry clip. All is well. Very nice knife!

Thanks!!!! What style of clip did you go with. I’d like to get a new clip for mine.

Mxg. Forgot I stripped one of the black factory clip screws and had to use the silver ones that came with the clip. Had a good torx and normally don't have that problem. Doesn't look as nice that way but doesn't bother the way it works.

Awesome!!!!

It arrived...and it is my best ZT so far. The action is perfect out of the box!
Perfect centering...and it falls shut by itself. Solid lockup, perfect grinds...
it is EPIC. And it is SO light and huge. I wanted a big light knife...and it
is fantastic. I am so happy with it I am a bit beside myself.
My 4th ZT, and all of them are Sinkevich designed. 0470 will be my next
one...then I am done for awhile!
I love Spyderco knives and have quite a few of them. ZT knives are a
huge departure for me and it was caused by me buying a Spyderco Advocate.
I love it dearly but it is M4 steel and I sweat a lot...not cool for EDC.
I wanted a stainless steel bladed flipper so I bought a 0452CF. Then a 0450.
and a 0450CF. I LOVE THEM.
The Sinkevich patterns are just fantastic to me...and I never knew I needed
them.

I hope you really enjoy your new ZT. I can't believe how nice they are.
I see they discontinue patterns pretty frequently so I ran amok...I did
not want to miss out.
Have a great day!!!

if i was going for an 801 today, i might get the artisan cutlery 1801, 4" s35vn blade, 4 oz, and priced lower than zt's 801 ... they are all very good i think
