My wife bought me this one for my birthday. It's absolutely stunning. I'm not sure who manufactured this one for northwoods but the fit and finish is impeccable. She originally purchased a gec #25 Barlow but it was disappointingly small and difficult to open. KSF was understanding and they swapped it out for this Indian river jack. Just got it yesterday and I am already in love with it.

Looks like Queen's 3-5/8" equal end pattern, #299. Yours is a beautiful rendition of it.

Many older knives in ebony have held up better than some in stag or bone . . . of course it depends on how they have been used and cared for, but it is pretty tough.

I want one so bad. I have been looking at them for quite some time now. Looks great and congratulations.

Thanks, zrfunited and black mamba. Trying to decide between the Indian River jack, Case sodbuster jr. and a GEC lockback. Can only get one.

I just picked up a gec Cuban stockman and I love it, but this Indian river jack has kicked it out of my pocket. The Indian river feels great in the pocket as well as the hand. The price ksf is asking is more than fair IMHO.

I just bought one. Good fit finish. Perfect for work. It had an asymmetrical grind that was easily fixed with a diamond stone followed by a fine spyderco flat stone and strop. It will whittle hair now. I can't wait to discolor that finish. I don't understand why ebony wood is so underutilized. I've been wanting a knife just like this for a long time. It's so light you forget it's there till you need it.
