This is a sheath I made for a friend of mine, Rick Colbrook, for his Stephan Busch fixed blade. Enjoy! :D

Now THAT'S some enviable talent. That looks smart and well-laced.

Good job!

Beautiful........Looks so "Old" and so "New" at the same time.

What dye(s) did you use and how did you get the darkened edges?

Rob,

I used Fiebing's Oil Dye in Light Brown for the main color with Dark Brown for the edge and accent color. I put an old camel hair paint brush I had to good use to get the effect I was looking for by brushing from the outside edge in. Luckily for me I got it right on the first try!!! I then did a single light coat of Fiebing's Leather Balm with Atom Wax for the matte finish and then used some dark brown edge coat to finish it off. And for the record this is only the 3rd fixed blade sheath I've done and my first in this style. I do mostly folder sheaths but I wanted to expand into fixed blade because poeple were asking me if I could make them for them. I guess somewhere along the line I said yes. :D :D

Glad you like it.

I'll say you got it right on the first try..........It has that "worn" look to it.

Thanks so much for sharing the pic and your technique. I am gonna give a try.
