My Newest CRK: Umkhombe

That's the one on my list too. Beautiful! Do all Umkhombe's come with the coated blade? Does anyone know if they are going stonewashed like the nyala?
 
I don't know if they all come with the coated blade. Just a guess on my part, but I imagine they will follow the same manufacturing process as the Nyala, i.e. stonewashed.

Beautiful knife! Stonewashed or coated, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Are these available anywhere in the U.S.?
 
To buy in the US, I believe you would have to order direct from CRK. They do show up from time to time here on the exchange. I'm with you Allan, coated or not, I'll be owning one.

Not sure - I thought that I read you can buy it direct from CRK but could not find where I read it again. They are not listed on CRk's price sheet as of a few days ago. (I got this 2nd hand outside of BF.)

I had to order a couple extra parts and I asked this the other day. Response below:

"The Umkhombe is an exclusive with Globetrotter, you will have to place an order with them directly."

I also thought a few guys had purchased them direct from CRK, but maybe they changed the policy?
 
While the Umkhombe is an exclusive with Globetrotter they have given us permission to sell directly to retail customers in the USA. Any retail customers outside of the US must purchase through Globetrotter.
Sorry for any confusion.
