Do the 2 lil' holes where you can see the washers do anything? Or are they just there to look groovy??

Very nice, I see Tom's aim is getting better, the holes are nice and even, pulled a little on the second shot...:p

thebadguy - what is the cost of this conversion if you dont mind me asking?

Very cool! Is the lock side left stock or has it been customized also?

Those are part of the customization right? How about the screws? Same deal?

The knife was sent to the man on the island in very poor shape. The Knife was refinsihed tip to but and a dual thumbstud was installed.

bagman, you might want to drop him aline for a price quote

Actually Mike, you probably aren't far off. I peaked in there and you can see the washers. Thats what I am using them for:)

Does having this done invalidate the CRK warranty??

If you follow their warranty verbatim, then yes. However, most knife companies will still repair their knife if the customization played no bearing in the knife needing repair. Anne would have to answer that to be for sure though.

I am not too worried about that. I would say 95% of the people I hear that send there knives back to CRK do it for a refurb or something of that nature and you have to pay for that anyway

thebadguy - can you give me a quick run down of what was done to it please?

Are the doulbe studs standard mayonisation?

I believe so. To be honest, I just sent the knife in and asked that he worked his magic. It was in poor shape as previuosly mentioned. I recieved the knife back in 1 weeks time:eek: Pulled the knife out of the package and was grinning ear to ear. The handles slabs were drilled of course, sandblasted, a dual thumbstud was installed, A swedge was cut out for left hand use of thumbstud, I am not sure what exactly was done to the blade, but its flawless and sharper than I thought possible. It also feels allot smoother than it did, if thats possible. And it has a light blue tint to it. I love it and would buy several more Sebenzas just to have this done to them if I had the money and Tom had the time.:)

thanks

I had a mail back from him wating at work this morning and am just waiting for the answers to a couple of questions and then I think I will take the plunge.

The title says it.

Tom reworked my large Classic and it is UNBELIEVABLE. Same mods as above with a hole pattern of my request. The two things I just could not believe were, 1) the opening and lock up is MUCH better and smoother than before, and 2) it is SCARY sharp! I mean the mere weight of the blade will shave a 2" strip off of your arm. Tom, did a spectacular job. The Marines I work with drooled all over the blade, I dare not leave it anywhere for fear i will never see it again.

If my small classic was not a woodie it would already be in the mail. Semper Fi.
Bob
