I think 22" is the perfect length - most useful for clearing and cutting brush. And I like that you have a lanyard on it. That's ready to go to work for sure.

It been great trimming in places I don't want to try the weed eater . It along with my 18 inch one been great.

I have a dozen machetes ranging from 14" to 26" and I use the 22" the most. 14" is packable - but I don't pack a machete. 18" hangs on the belt nice and easy and it gets the job done. 26" is great when you want to maintain clearance from blackberries or other thorny brambles. Plus the 26" has extra power. But 22" is the happy medium. Gets you far enough away and still hangs on the belt OK.

I like 24" best when doing serious volume work but tend to be carrying machetes of that length in the hand continuously rather than carrying them on a belt etc.
