My Newest Robeson Sure Edge

From what I have read this is a pre WWII blade because of "Sure Edge" being in cursive.

The handle appears to be stacked leather but almost feels and looks like wood. I can't tell. Perhaps someone here can enlighten me.

Except for surface scratches there is no pitting and the blade appears to have never been sharpened. The sheath is in near perfect condition.

Sharpened or not,,,its a great old knife. :thumbup:

Nice find for a collector. Would be a great user if so inclined too but there are very hungry collectors out there looking for those for their collections. Originals with natural patina looking like some one loved it adds to the collect ability. Great find!

I don't think so. Those scratches near the choil are on both sides and only what you see about 1/4" long. The knife is actually dull.

Yeah, from the pic that handle looks like pressed leather. Put a little mink oil on it and see if it responds.
