This marks my 5th current Small Sebenza, and first that I have ordered direct from Chris Reeve Knives. Heather was nothing short of awesome in helping me out. Yesterday it arrived. :D

Small 21 with Lignum Vitae inlays, gold anodized spacer, thumb lug and bead, and rust lanyard. My pictures do not do this justice.

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: to the CRK family. :D:D

I agree, BBQ. That wood definitely projects strength. I "rally" like it too. ;)

I actually "rally" love the laynard color. It "rally" makes the wood pop. Really.

That is my favorite wood inlay. Very nice knife.

Let me know if you get tired of it. Would look great together with my Mnandi. :)

That's a beauty!

I am thinking of the same wood in a large Sebenza.

How long was it between ordering and receiving the knife?

Looks great - much more handsome than I'd thought. Lignum vitae is about the most dense wood - and used as stuffing tube seals/bearings in ships. It has a great deal of wax & resin, too. My only such wood is in a large carving mallet - for it's mass and strength... not particularly pretty. I like some of the Central American 'rosewoods' - like cocobolo - but it is a double edged sword. It's dust smells good - but can cause anaphylaxis in most folks with enough exposure.

Stainz

LV rules. :D I have a small and a large LH Classic with DLs, gold ano spacers and the exact same lanyard(s) you've got there. I took the clips off and installed spacers - seemed to suit the wood inlays better.

You are right, they would look great together. The offer stands the other way too, should you ever decide to part with it. ;)

Thanks! I was initially told it would be ~4 months wait time. Imagine how surprised I was when I got the call saying it had shipped, just 3 weeks after my order was placed. It's a beautiful piece, I say go for it.
