picked this beauty up from mike at the indy 1500. a gorgeous custom shop hairy carry with blue wood handles. I would love if anyone could tell me what type of wood this is? me and mike couldn't figure it out, my guess was something in the maple family.

oh and I picked a muddy swamp warden as well but sorry no pics.:grumpy:
 
thanks! I also picked up a skeleton game warden that people were eyeing so you know I had to get it before other folks could decide.:D
 
it's crazy in person it's almost 3D. it has a depth to it that you really have to see live.
 
That's a beauty for sure. Yep tiger stripe maple. One of my favorite woods. The 3-d effect is really cool and it has a great sheen.
 
Nice! What was the price-point on that, if you don't mind me askin? I need another smaller fixed blade like a hole in the head, but I love the custom-handled HC's.
