My next Becker knife - suggestions needed

I'm off for the next 10 days, and among the tasks planned is taming the wilderness at my other property. Me being me, I came to the conclusion that I should purchase a new knife to help with that work. I've got, like, three Becker knives; and I've been very happy with them...but I could use some help deciding on what model I should choose. A lot of what I'll be doing is machete work, honestly - part of the land is wet; so there's a good deal of fast growing vegetation and weed-like trees (probably no more than 3" diameter). There's also an evergreen with branches encroaching on the driveway that I'd like to cut back, and a couple of small trees that I should probably take down and process.

Any suggestions?
 
What do you have now? From what you're saying I'd say the 9 or 5 will work for your needs.
 
How about the 4? I just got mine, it would make short work out of all the vegetation you described.
 
I would have to say the bk9. I know this is the becker sub and all but kabar has a machete like blade on clearance right now. $20 and its pretty big if you wreck it not a huge loss. Dont like the look its only $20 mod it up. I only own a bk2 and a usmc with the kraton handle. I am sure the 2 would work for alot of it. A larger blade could help depending on the work.
 
I would say the bk21. Sounds like you are mainly trying to do machate work with the next knife you purchase so I think the 21 would suit your needs just fine.
 
I was hoping somebody would recommend the 21, as I was looking for a reason to grab one before Spring. I would have steered the vote a little more; but I didn't want to be too obvious.
A BK21 is en route, and should be here Friday (tomorrow). If the mail is here early enough, it will be put to work right out of the box. I'll post some thoughts & pictures after I've done enough work with it to comment.

I've only seen one or two 77s for sale, at least that I remember, and wasn't willing to pay the inflated price.

I guess I have to change that to 2 or 3 that I've seen. I saw that yesterday, but didn't remember until I saw it again. In my defense, I'd been up about 32 hrs by that time...I don't remember much that I saw online before I finally went to bed.
