I emailed the dealer I get most of my knives from and asked about getting me either the Titan Defender Lightweight ( couldn't ), or the Applegate Folding Dagger ( could ). So, my next Boker?.....the AFD, of course! Looking forward to it as I have been looking at it since it came out last year, and before that, the other versions. Never did go for one though. Now that I have taken the plunge on the Titan Defender, I feel much better about paying the kind of money it takes to get a high end Boker, especially since you end up with a high quality knife! will be getting it on the 23rd or 24th, and of course I will do a first impression review. Btw, I also ordered a Quark MiNi in titanium. Takes a single 123CR and is about 2.5" in oal, with a max output of 190 lumens. Should be a nice light.

Like I said above, I had been looking at this knife for a while, actually longer than I had been looking at the Titan Defender. Now that I have "pulled the trigger" I am excited at the prospects of getting this one. The couple of reviews I've read on it have been positive with the quality of the knife being a BIG plus. Blade steel is S60V so I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do as I've not had a knife with this blade steel before.
Even though this is more of a "tactical" type folder, I believe the spearpoint blade can still be useful, but it really doesn't matter as my left pocket knife, a Case Humpback Whittler, does 99.99% of my daily knifework. The right pocket piece ( where the AFD will reside) is usually my showpiece, but it still has to be a piece that can be put to work if the need be.:thumbup:
So, bottom line is that I am really looking forward to the Boker AFD arriving next week!

Well, actually I have not ordered it yet, my dealer is getting it from his distributor, and it should arrive to them today. I do all my buying on payday and I get paid once a month. It will be next Friday or Saturday before I receive it, but then I will be on the porch looking for that UPS driver to bring it home!!
