Mine will be slightly different...

.187" 154CM
.160" Ti
Lanyard hole
Bearing pivot
Lockbar over travel disk
False bolster look with toxic handle "scales"
3/4 hollow grind with polished grinds and satin flats

Freakin' love it Matt. Reminds me of the cold steel talwar and benchmade bedlam, two badass knives. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I'm pretty excited... although RW is always late, his work is worth the wait!

I've handled some of his emerson frame lock conversions, they were very nice. On the topic of Reese Weiland, have you seen his bali's? This one would go well with your matched set of Dalton's (I think).

Never handled one. Looks great though. My Dalton Twins are at the Vallotton shop getting tuned. I want Rainy to TIG wave hooks on them.

Hopefully this will be done in time for the Plaza show in October. I'm meeting Edwood7 and I know how much he likes the Persian blade.

Your chosen specs look good, Matt. I can tell you that mine waves beautifully out of pocket. With a bearing pivot, yours should be even smoother.

I am the original artist of the illustration above. Here are pictures of my Saif, for those of you who are curious about how CM's final product will likely come out:

Here are some comparison shots with other framelock folders to give you a sense of the size of the framelock in the original design.

Needless to say, it's fat as all get-out.

And here is the "Saif" next to some of the knives which inspired its design: the Cold Steel Scimitar, the Emerson Persian, and the Cold Steel Espada.

Reese Weiland is a fantastic knife craftsman, and I would urge any of you to seek him out for your pimping or custom knife needs.

I was hoping you would post here! What are the thicknesses of your blade and slabs?

I'm not a fan of the P style but I like this, RW has always done exceptional work.

I have another RW folder almost finished.

Sorta has an early (96-97?) Vero Beach Microtech look, eh?
