Samo, you have a very good taste

I´d also like those.

However, there is the

issue and also the soon coming Temperance....

Sam (and Paul),

You can't go wrong with a Santoku. It's my wife's favourite knife, mainly due to the fact that I haven't been out of the kitchen since I got mine
smile.gif
. I love it, just the thing for whiping up a stir-fry or a bit of pad thai. I keep it sharpened to 30 degrees and the vegies just fall into pieces when they see me pick it up

. I also have a mini-paring knife which gets a lot of use as well. However I recently bought a plain edge Small Utility knife for my wife to her away from my Santoku and it has become the second most used knife in the kitchen. I'm even thinking of having a Kydex sheath made for it so I can take it bush.

Take care,
Clay

G'day Clay,
Glad you'd share your experience with the great Spyderco Santoku!!

Think it's an excellent choice for all those kitchen work since I like to cook!! A kydex sheath!
cool.gif
Are there anyone in Australia who specialises in making them? Mike Sastre is my choice maker and that Eric dude from Canada. They make excellent custom sheaths but are saddled with loads of backorders...

dePaul ~ Temperance eh? Saw the blade at Golden last year. Nippy little one!! Say, since you are from Sweden, are Trangia pots and Optimus stoves costly over there?

Sam,

I don't know of any kydex sheath makers here, I'd have to get one from Mike. Maybe it's an accessory that SFO should sell
smile.gif
. I'll suggest it over on the other forum when I get a chance

They are somewhat cheaper, cause the fact that Sweden is member of the European Community whereas USA and Asia is not. So all exported or imported items prices differ as soon as they are send over this border.

However it wouldn´t be a point ordering this stuff directly from Sweden. The shipping charges to your country would eat up the profit.

Cheers!!
